Can I use a beat I export?
GrooveMachine.com does not claim ownership of your pattern or exported recording. The included instrument sounds are generated procedurally rather than copied from a third-party sample pack. Copyright protection for any output can vary by jurisdiction and by the amount of human authorship involved; see the Terms for the full conditions.
Where is my project stored?
Your current project is saved in local browser storage on your device. A shared beat is encoded into the link fragment after the # symbol, which browsers do not send to the web server as part of the page request.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. The interface is responsive, and the sequencer can be scrolled horizontally on smaller screens. For the most reliable low-latency audio, use a current version of a major browser.
Does GrooveMachine.com upload my music?
No. The current release stores the project locally in your browser, generates WAV and MIDI exports on your device, and encodes shared beats in the link fragment rather than uploading a project file.
